At the
end of 1984, I had the pleasure to present the
first photographic exhibition in the recently
reopened Theatro São Pedro’s foyer.
The theme (and could not be different) was the
theater itself, which after being closed, for
a long period, was returned to Porto Alegre citizens
fully restored.
The exhibition was divided into three parts. The
first one was made up by portraits of figures
linked to the theater, like Eva Sopher, Dante
Barone and others. In another segment, the building
served as scenery for a session in which models
(Bebel Mostardeiro and Jane Bezerra) wore vintage
and contemporary clothes. Finally, the building
itself and its restoration created perfect objects
for an architectural essay.
This collection presents a small part of the
original project.
